Free download AstroDSLR forMacOSX. AstroDSLR is digital camera tethering and remote capture application specialised for astrophotography. Canon cameras offer a feature called Parallel file writing. This allows you to shoot tethered and have the files written to your cameras memory card as well as downloaded and saved to your computer. Nikon, Sony and the others don’t offer this option. AstroDSLR is an application similar to AstroImager, an easy to use tool for astrophotography, but intended for use with Canon EOS cameras. CCDCiel is a CCD capture software intended for the amateur astronomer. It include all the features required to perform digital imaging CCD observation of celestial objects. Using the standard drivers protocol INDI and ASCOM it can connect and control the CCD camera, the focuser, the filter wheel and the telescope mount. I could have also easily brought CDC and/or EQMAC into the fray if I wanted.

I got some updates on the AstroTelescope application. I managed to connect it to the Gemini 2 G11 mount controller through WIFI. I used the Meade LX/ETX profile in the built-in preferences. I had to enter the IP address and port. I can now choose an object and slew to it through the app and also manual control the telescope.
